The Importance of Graphic Design

We live in a visual world. Our brains were built for it. In fact, studies say 90% of the information processed by the brain is visual. Interesting statistic, right? But what does it mean to you and your marketing?

It means, we know your message is important and we know that the best way to get your message across to your customers is through visual data. Great design needs to be rooted in marketing so that your message can be made clear and reaches your intended audience.

Frequently Asked Questions

We ask that new clients give us 48 hours notice or more on most one off projects. This is for your benefit as much as it is ours, allowing for time to develop the right design and check over the design for things like typos or other inconsistencies. We do offer graphic design contracts that give you a number of design hours per month for these types of projects.

The short answer is as much as you would like. We love clients that have an idea of what they are looking for so that we can bring their ideas to life, but we also understand that not everyone is as creative as a professional designer. If you are not sure what you are looking for yet we are happy to work with you to find out what you need.

We do it all! Our team is flexible and versatile in order to work on whatever designs you need. Some of our main services include; brochures, flyers, social media ads, emails, billboards, retail signage, flags, logos, business cards, infographics, vehicle wraps and more!

A designer is a communicator of your idea, your product and your solution to the world.

With training or experience as a visual communicator and problem solver, a designer will combine your content with elemenets color, typography, line, space, shape and balance to create a finished communications piece for your business or organization. He/she will work with you to explore different options or design directions to solve your particular communications challenge.

A designer will also prepare the ‘mechanical requirements’ of your finished piece and prepare it to the specifications of a printer, magazine, Web host, television studio or any other output medium, to ensure trouble-free output of a final finished product (such as a printed flyer or a Web site).”

If your goal is to simply create simple designs for a relatively small audience, you likely will not need a graphic designer. Here are a few reasons why you would:

You Need Complex Designs
With the expanding amount of free and easy to use tools on the internet, people and small business are able to create a level of design that has been elusive in the past. But even these tools have their limitations. If the design you want to achieve requires complex knowlege of creating and editing, you will likely be better off hiring a graphic designer.

You Need to Communicate a Specific Message
Editing programs have made it easy for the average user to create visually stunning images, but what about the subtext? Even if you have a proficient command of a program like Adobe Photoshop, communicating through design is a very subtle artform. Most people can only receive it. That is why you know good art when you see it, but have difficulty creating it on your own. A graphic designer not only understands this added layer of communication, they have become proficient in speaking it as well through years of learning and practice.

You Need to Lighten Your Workload
If you work for or own a small or growing business, you understand the importance of saving money through sweat equity. While that is absolutely necessary in the beginning, as your business grows, it is important to prioritize your time efficiently. Something like graphic design will likely eat large chunks of your time if it is something you are not particularly adept at doing. If this is the case, you will likely benefit from outsourcing these tasks to someone who can do them efficienttly. The time saved, quality of work, and a smaller task list will make hiring a graphic designer worth it.”
